Did you know that since January 2012, it's a requirement for CAH's to give written notice to all patients if a physician (MD or DO, not a mid-level provider) is not present in the hospital 24/7, including the ED? 

There has to be signed acknowledgement from the patient prior to admission or registration. If you haven't already, this should be incorporated into the initial paperwork your patient signs.
